I’ve booked a one-way ticket to a small island in the South Pacific. No one will find me there. No one will know who I am.
I’ll leave everything behind—the money, the power, the mask. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll finally be free.
Entry 5: The Final Goodbye
Tonight is the night.
I’ve written letters to Isabelle, to my board, to the few people who might care. I’ve explained as much as I can without revealing too much. They’ll think I’ve lost my mind. Maybe I have.
But for the first time in my life, I feel alive.
As I sit here, writing this final entry, I can’t help but wonder if I’m making a mistake. What if I’m trading one prison for another? What if I can’t survive without the mask?
But then I think about the island, the ocean, the endless sky. And I know I have to try.
